In the subdirectory where the files were unzipped is a program named setup .exe. Double-click this file to run it and install MySQL. The default installation installs MySQL on the C: drive in the mysql directory. The installation program provides a note informing you that the initialization file will have to be manually edited if you do not accept the default installation directory.
