OpenEJB
OpenEJB is an EJB container that is designed for ease of use. OpenEJB ships with Apple’s WebObjects and was designed for speed and low resource consumption. OpenEJB implements the EJB 1.1 specification with support for CMP 2.0 beans. The following table provides a summary for OpenEJB.
OpenEJB may be a good container for those who want an easy-to-install and-configure container for learning EJB basics. However, because OpenEJB currently only implements the 1.1 EJB specification, we will not consider it further in this chapter.
